Life is an Art opent deuren voor The Content Factory!

Een persbericht rond de nieuwe projecten van het Amsterdamse productiehuis The Content Factory leert ons opnieuw dat steevast je eigen ding blijven doen vroeg of laat serieuze vruchten zal afwerpen. Waar het Nederlandse productiehuis voordien zich bezighield met toch wat meer bescheiden projecten zoals kortfilms, commercials en allerhande events, ziet de toekomst er sinds kort bijzonder rooskleurig uit. The Content Factory vertoonde twee films tijdens het 63ste filmfestival van Cannes, namelijk de internationele thriller Life is an Art(***), met Alison Carroll en Vincent van Ommen, en de ambitieuze Vlaamse kortfilm Final Move: Demon Games(****), in een regie van Arne Keustermans. En dit heeft hen – zoals u even verder kan lezen – duidelijk geen windeieren gelegd!

The Content Factory, who brought you the international thriller “Life is an Art”, is back from the 63rd Annual Cannes Film Festival with seven new film projects slated to produce.

1. “The New Arrival”, starring British actress Alison Carroll (Life is an Art, The Kid) and in talks with action legend Dolph Lundgren (Universal Soldier, The Expendables). The movie also will have appearances of the Princess of Thailand. This movie is a martial arts action film that will be shooting in Thailand, Bangkok.

2. “Bunny Slope” with British actress Alison Carroll and in talks with Oscar Award winning actress Charlize Theron (Monster, Hancock) to star as its lead. Filming begins in the summer of 2011 in Austria.

3. “Vrij Spel” (No Rules): Dutch film by Director Karim Traidia who is best known for “The Polish Bride” which was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film in 1999. “Vrij Spel” had a Industry screening on June 22nd 2010.

4. “De Cirkel” (The Circle): The Content Factory will work in collaboration with Dutch Director Robin Pera (Costa! , Goede tijden, slechte tijden). “De Cirkel” is a drama where ten characters interact in a small circle over the course of two evenings. Releasedate: 2011.

5. “Man in the Street” is a remake of the film by the same name, originally produced in 2002. “Man in the Street” will be shot in Amsterdam, Holland in English for the international film market. Dutch actor Rik Sinkeldam stars. “Man in the Street” will be entered into the 64thAnnual Cannes Film Festival Competition in 2011.

6. “The SubUrban War”, From the writer of “Life is an Art”, Paul de Vrijer. Dutch actor Vincent van Ommen (Life is an Art, Verloren Jaren) and British actress Alison Carroll (Life is an Art, Doghouse) will star in this film.

7. “Drowned Sorrow” is a thriller based on the book by Belgian author Vanessa Morgan (“The Strangers Outside”), starring British actress / model Alison Carroll. American actress Drew Barrymore (Charlie’s Angels, Whip It!) is slated to direct. Filming will also be done in the United States.
